An application and test(s) are required to be submitted to the Utah State Fire Marshals Office for LP-Gas Certifications within 45 days of employment.
Each applicant is required to complete the application and test in its entirety. Each Certificate of Registration shall be renewed annually at the time of inspection of the facilities by a representative from the Utah State Fire Marshals Office. Each applicant will be required to retest every 5 years as per state law.
The tests can be answered using the appropriate reference material. The tests may be taken with reference materials at hand. The Office of the State Fire Marshal and / or tests are not to be considered a source of training for the LP-Gas Certifications.

Approved applicants will receive a Utah LP-Gas Certification Card which references each certification you have received. Each Registration Card must be renewed annually.
